How we handle your details.

We last updated this page on November 3, 2026.

Who is responsible for your data.

One Good Tool, based in Paris, France, decides how your details are used. Because we are established in the European Union, the European data protection rules (GDPR) apply to everything we do with your details, wherever you live.

What we collect.

We only use business information: your name, your work email address, your job title when it is public, and what your business shows publicly, such as its website, the tools visible on it or its job posts. If you write to us through our contact form, we also keep your message.

Where it comes from.

We find this information on public sources, such as your company website and public directories, and in professional contact databases that collect business addresses. We never buy lists of personal addresses.

Why we use it.

We use it to send you one email about a change that may affect one of your tools, and one reminder at most. We rely on our legitimate interest in contacting businesses about their work. When you ask us to introduce you to a software company, we rely on your request.

Who we share it with.

We never sell or rent your details. We only share them with a software company when you ask us to introduce you. The services we use to send and store our emails process your details on our behalf and cannot use them for anything else.

How long we keep it.

We delete your details twelve months after our last email to you. If you reply "no thanks" or ask us to stop, we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list, so that we never write to you again.

What you can ask us.

You can ask us at any time to see the details we hold about you, to correct them, to delete them or to stop using them. Reply to any of our emails or use the contact form, and we will answer within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in France, it is the CNIL.
